In 1998/99, a large difference was registered between the percentage of overweight males (BMI ≥ 27 and <30) and that of females, the latter being inferior. In 2005/2006, this discrepancy between genders increased slightly, as a consequence of a greater increase in the number of male cases (42,4%) relative to female cases (33,3%).
