From the 2002/2003 school year to that of 2005/2006, the percentage of pupils vaccinated in compliance with the NVP at age 13 increased by 2,6%, there having been registered a reduction from 2002/2003 to 2003/2004 (3,8%).

During the 2005/2006 school year, only LVT showed a percentage of pupils vaccinated in compliance with the NVP at age 13 lower than the overall percentage for mainland Portugal (70% vs. mainland Portugal’s 80%). In the other regions, percentages were higher, especially in the Alentejo (92%).
