The percentage of pre-school pupils vaccinated in compliance with the NVP (National Vaccination Program) increased by 1,2% from the 2002/2003 school year to that of 2005/2006.

During the 2005/2006 school year, LVT and ALgarve showed a negative variance in relation to the overall value for mainland Portugal, with its percentage of pupils vaccinated in compliance with the NVP in pre-school standing at 65% and 68%, respectively. The remaining regions displayed higher values, especially the Alentejo (99%).
