Age-standardized relative survival at 5 years of women of 15 or more years of age, with breast cancer diagnosed between 1991 and 1993, was 71,9%. This value resulted from the analysis of 1224 cases (coverage: 11%).
The information relating to 2005 refers only to Regional Cancer Registry ‘Sul’ (ROR-Sul), as information for other Regions of Portugal is unavailable. The analysis for this region revealed a relative survival at 5 years of 83%, referring to 4643 women with 15 or more years of age, that were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 or 2001.
