Standardized death rate for colon and rectum cancer before 65 years, increased recently in Portugal. After a period of decreasing trend, this indicator reached in 2008 the highest value of the period analysed (7,7 deaths per 100 000 individuals).

Regional values of standardized death rate for colon and rectum cancer before 65 years showed different trends in the period 2004 to 2008: decreasing rates in Lisboa and Algarve and the reverse situation in Norte, Centro and Alentejo.
