In Portugal, the birth rate for females aged >=35 increased by 27,6% between 2001 and 2007.

From 2004 to 2008, birth rate in women 35 years/ 100 live births in mainland Portugal increased slightly, from 15,7% years to 19,3% (relative increase of 22,9%).
The Region which show greater negative deviations in relation to the value for mainland Portugal was, in 2004 as in 2008, Lisboa. The best values in 2008 were registered in Algarve.
